You can now set the start date on a task during task creation.
From anywhere you can create a new task, simply type
@
to begin setting the start date. Then type:
  • natural words like "tomorrow", "Friday", or "next week"
  • a specific date like "Dec 21"
As you type your start date, a dropdown will show indicating the date. Hit
enter
to select that date.
Hit
enter
again to finish creating the task. The task will automatically appear on the date you've selected.
There are some other behaviors in this new feature, such as using the
@
key to snooze a task to the backlog. Check out this video for a full overview of this new feature.
