Android App Performance
Artem Yagofarov
100%! The app is super slow when loading all tasks. The only reason why I am considering alternatives. It never happens in other task management apps. You should fix it by making GetTasks API call at the openingApp event, not on openTaskList event, so that they can be fetched on background while I am looking at the calendar. Also optimise your API: review db indexing, routing and processing efficiency. This lag can and should be fixed!

Ashutosh Priyadarshy just wanted to +1 and flag this one. The poor Android performance (instability, slowness) is my #1 reason for struggling to fully recommend Sunsama to friends right now. And it's been that way for years now. Would love to see this be a bigger priority, given mobile experience is pretty critical for a planner app in 2025. Thank you!

Soroush Pour Thanks, we're going to look into this ASAP.

Ashutosh Priyadarshy thank you, so great to hear 😃!

Totally agree. My calendar often takes upwards of 20 seconds to load events. This shouldn't happen on a 20$ a month premium app. I find myself using google calendar, which makes no sense.

Wanted to drop a quick note to say I'm glad I'm not the only one experiencing a buggy app experience in Android. The thing that bothers me the most is the lack of a' back' swipe option, instead having to always find the back button all the way on top of the app.

Agreed! Also syncing task timers between Android and desktop apps works very poorly currently.
If I start a timer on Android, and then close the app, the change isn't reflected on Desktop until I reopen the Android app.
Also, seems that the Android app doesn't sometimes receive the command to start or stop a timer when the syncing is still in progress (even though there aren't any updates), and I have to press twice.
I like to measure time used also for tasks that are not done in front of the computer, so this syncing issue creates a notable amount of trouble since I am starting and stopping the timers on mobile a lot.
Also, tasks disappear quite often on the Android app, and I have to restart the app to get them visible again.

I agree. I experience the same issues described above.
Also, in the morning I like to see the tasks that I have for the day in the app, and I was trying to add them to the calendar, but even if I put it for a later time it just adds all of them at the current time.
