Batch/bulk edit, Select Multiple tasks to move or edit
Marcel Farrés Franch
Sometimes I want to organize a week and there are a lot of tasks to move, it will be very convenient to be able to move groups of tasks to a different day at the same time.
Long story short, select multiple tasks from one/multiple days and move all at the same time to another day.

Change multiple task context at once

The ability to select multiple task and assigna different context to them at once so that I can dump my to do onto my day without spending extra time organising the context/objectives.

Core functions for me: Move tasks in bulk to the backlog, assign tasks in bulk to a hashtag, move tasks in bulk to a new date.

In the new Backlog public beta, the first inkling of multi-selecting tasks has been implemented. It's still very bare bones, with only moving tasks into folders supported, but now that core bits are there, we're thinking about what else to enable. Feel free to let us know what you think the most essential actions are for you.

- It would be great to get selecting checkboxes in the Home Kanban view, similar to the Backlog (screenshot 2). They could appear upon hover, boxed in red (screenshot 1).
- Also similar to the Backlog, holding down a shortcut key (Command on Mac) without needing to hit the checkboxes (who's got time to aim right?) does the same to select.
- Holding down Shift + Command selects everything between the two selections. Likewise, holding down Shift while using the mouse to select another checkbox selects everything between. Apply this to the Backlog screen too.
- Upon selecting any checkbox, an option appears to "Select All" at the top. It could take the place of the "Add task" ribbon at the top of the Kanban since that function isn't relevant while making selections (screenshot 3). Apply this to Backlog screen too.

Cristian Sanchez I second this!

As Sunsama moves to its position as a full-featured app, this will be a seemingly small but very important feature to add. People will be doing much more organizing within the app, and not just dragging tasks from another one. This will help efficiency greatly (and would now!). Thanks in advance for not forgetting about it. :)
Jessie Straver
Agreed, this is a must-have

Absolutely insane that the ability to Cmd/Ctrl+Click or Cmd/Ctrl+A is not a core feature in Sunsama.
Patrick Moulton
yes I can't believe this wasn't one of the initial features on Sunsama. This is core and fundamental please! All we need is the ability to select all or select multiple and move

Here's a variant of the same concept. A bulk move in the Daily Plan view would be an amazing feature to add.
Currently, I'll go through my daily plan and fill up my day with the appropriate tasks that are prioritized. At the "What can wait?" screen, it'd be ideal to have a button to automatically move all unscheduled tasks to the next day. This is a task that I perform every single day and would be a nicety to be able to just automate.

please add this soon Ashutosh Priyadarshy, if you go on vacation or something, your tasks pile up and you literally have to spend an hour rescheduling them on by one, pretty ridiculous
Ashutosh Priyadarshy
Ben Woodward - Until this is built one thing you can do is use the keyboard shortcuts to quickly move things to the next day or the backlog, much faster than dragging and dropping.

Editing and moving tasks in a productivity app one-by-one without bulk select/action support is unproductive.
