Change color of event in calendar source based upon channel color

Maybe the same as: Color code tasks on calendar by channel
Alexander Kim
AndyDaSilva52 😎: I think that feature is already implemented and not related to this one.

Alexander Kim: Maybe you are right. I didn't understand exactly the other request. It seemed pretty similar with yours.
Even thought, I think your point of view is important. I understood that your request is to set the
Calendar Event Color
as the same as the Sunsama Channel
for that Task. As showed in the screenshot for example, where the Sunsama Channel
color is yellow
, and the Google Calendar
color is green
.Am I right?

AndyDaSilva52 😎: That's what _I_ would want at least. Either the color of the channel or one unique color for all events created by Sunsama so that I can easily see what are meetings with other people and what are tasks for myself.

Revisiting that need, I came across this thread again and the screenshot above gave me an idea that's partially solving my issue. I created a calendar specifically for Sunsama and set it as the default for timeboxing. I can set the color of that calendar independently from the main calendar. The benefit is that it lets me distinguish the meetings from the Sunsama tasks which I can easily shift around.
The drawback with that method is that I don't appear busy to others on my main calendar anymore. It's not a major issue for me because I don't have a schedule that people try to fit themselves in constantly.

Timothée Boucher: I tried this kind of use and had the same challenge as not being busy in the main calendar. Unfortunately, this is not something that will be accomplished soon: https://roadmap.sunsama.com/improvements/p/2-way-calendar-sync
