Change Task Default to Backlog

As a user, I'd like to be able to automatically have new tasks default the backlog so I can avoid over committing and, instead, allow myself to remain focus more.
Example: when I add a new task during a meeting, move it to the top of my backlog.
This would also encourage me to maintain my backlog instead of letting it go to waste or be forgotten.

Currently the system-wide quick add defaults start date to today.
I think users should be able to change this option, so that using quick add defaults to tomorrow, next week, etc., and most importantly the backlog.
As someone who uses backlog as an inbox for tasks, I find it inconvenient to have to @backlog every time I add a new task using the global shortcut.
