Compare actual time vs planned time
Travis Meyer
The actual time you track on your tasks can now be visualized on the calendar as calendar blocks (with a distinct style from regular calendar events).
This new option is enabled by default, and works retroactively.
This should make it much easier to look at your day in your calendar and understand where your time actually went.
If you also scheduled your tasks to specific time blocks as part of planning your day, you will be able to see your planned vs actual blocks on your calendar.

This idea is also very much in line with Cal Newport's idea of time blocking where you visually see your original vs revised plan https://calnewport.com/deep-habits-the-importance-of-planning-every-minute-of-your-work-day/. Even having the option to adjust events on the calendar to actual time would be amazing where the event space changes based on the timer: finish an event early, great. That is reflected in the calendar. Need to spend more time on a specific event and you are willing to move other lower priority tasks out of the way, awesome. I haven't found any app that does this (other than inside toggle track itself). As of now, the green check boxes don't really do anything for me.

This seems like exactly what the planned/actual timers were designed for. Hope to see it soon!

I would love this feature.

I NEED this. My under-estimation is chronic and needs some tough love

Yes, being able to audit recurring tasks and automatically adjust the time, as well as auditing category or context-wide, and even automating those adjustments!

I would really love this, especially visualized as a scheduled day to see next to the schedule I'd planned. When I don't get it all done in time, I could see how much is things taking longer than I thought, how much is unexpected tasks coming up, and how much is blank space I didn't use.

Just want to add emphasis here, that an "audit" feature like this is VERY in-line with the core values of Sunsama, and I would REALLY love to be able to do this. Ideally, graph accuracy on a week-over-week basis to see how well I'm improving, filter accuracy by channels or sort by accuracy to see which estimates were the most off and learn from them

Learning how to more accurately estimate the amount of time I need to complete a task or project is probably one of the highest value benefits I believe I can get from using Sunsama consistency — it would eliminate such a huge source of stress in my life.
Some simple aggregate statistics would go a long way. More useful yet would be some visualisations showing the difference between my estimated and actual times, over time, so I can make sure my estimates are getting better with more experience.

I'd really love this feature. In fact, being able to track actual vs. planned was the No. 1 reason I chose Sunsama. While I can track actual vs. planned at an individual task level, I can't use the aggregate data to better understand how off I am, where my estimation skills fail most of the time, how I can improve my estimation skills.
