First of all, thank you for creating something that I have been looking for for years and something that I now use every single day.
Sunsama pretty much eliminates my paper planner EXCEPT for a few key things during the beginning of the day "Plan" process and the end of the day "Reflect" process.
There are a few things that I would like to add during the morning "Plan" process for me personally that I am currently accomplishing using recurring tasks as a very inelegant work-around.
I know that a lot of people have different rituals for this and it would be great if it was a customizable process. Something like a "step builder" if you will. Where you can customize what is included during the process and in what order you go through it. These custom steps that you may build could also be a neat way for people to discover new daily rituals.
Below would be my perfect plan process that I desperately hope can be accomplished in some way using Sunsama:
  1. Daily Journal (Preferably with a customizable format for recurring prompts like a daily "Today I'm grateful for" in addition to space for freehand writing)
  2. What do you want to get done Today: This works well the way it is already built into Sunsama. However, a few additions would be extraordinarily helpful. If there was somewhere to put in special types of customizable tasks that I plan during this step. For me, I would like to be able to do a fill in the blank for "wellness activity for the day" and another one for "most important task of the day" the latter of which, it would be really useful if I could keep highlighted in a visible color all day while in the standard view to keep me reminded of its importance while I continuously re-arrange thing during work (maybe Sunsama Orange ;)
  3. What can wait
  4. Finalize your plan
For the “Reflect” process, a customizable step builder is also perfect.
My perfect, process would be as follows:
Flow Score: Most days, I give myself a score on how I felt about how much I accomplished throughout the day. It helps me to realize and track over time what works, and what does not work for me and how skipping certain things like some of the fill in the blank tasks I mentioned during the Plan section such as “wellness activity for the day” may negatively impact this score of how I felt about what I accomplished that day.
A journaling section (preferably customizable in the same way mentioned in the plan section) to write notes and lessons from the day
Please consider making this possible for me and others so that we can completely eliminate the need for paper planners with Sunsama.
