Dragging/dropping tasks to Objectives should put them under that Objective

What would be amazing is if one could create objectives, in those objectives create a list of tasks and drag these into the calendar and them automatically showing relation to the objective. That way one can also see when the objective is complete and what is missing. The current setup is very weird because when I think of my objective I then want to brainstorm all assosicassociatedated tasks and then schedule to calendar/Kanban

I was about to add this as a new request.
To Alex's comment below, sometimes a task doesn't warrant being an objective on its own, but is part of a larger objective.
During daily planning, I'd love to just be able to drag a task on top of an objective for the week and have it automatically assigned to that objective. Right now, I have to open it up and go through a multistep process.
I'd use objectives more if I could assign tasks easier.

George Napier: Thanks for this. Know that you can align tasks to objectives quicker with the keyboard shortcut
r
. Simply hover over a task and type r
to select an objective to align it with! Hope this helps in the meantime.M

This would be excellent! It would also be great to add existing tasks from the weekly objective card, rather than having to go to each task individually to align them with the weekly goal.

You can now create an objective from a task. Simply type "r" over a task like you would to align that task to an existing objective. There's now an option in the dropdown menu to "Turn this into an objective".
Note: you can also do this by clicking on the task, clicking the three dot "other actions" menu, and clicking "align with objective".

Convert a task into a weekly objective
Cris Cuthbertson
I like to project plan in Trello. Each card in trello has multiple subtasks so actually represents a weekly objective rather than a task that I can get done in one day. Once I import a card, I would like to upgrade it to a weekly objective so I can actually block my week. If I have a task that becomes too big, it just rolls from day to day.
I would love to upgrade any task to weekly objective once I realise it has more than about 3 hours of work in it. It makes it much easier to plan my week.

Drag tasks onto objective to align task with objective

Right now it's click click click. I want to drag my task over to the objective to associate that task with that objective in 1 second.

Add Jira tasks to weekly objective instead of tasks
Ben Knoll
It would be great to drag Jira issues and turn them into weekly objectives instead of just tasks.

I would love this.
Right now, objectives involve 3 clicks, while dragging a task into the weekly objective or the objective to the top of task would automatically link them both and would be much easier to use

Alexandre Jesus: I would also love this. I find myself setting objectives and then not revisiting them until the end of the week due to the amount of work to link tasks to objectives. Please make this drag and drop--drag a task over an objective and it picks up the objective. Lots of other things work like that on this app.
Alexandre Jesus
Margaret Martin: Just learned something very nice - place the mouse over the task (hover) and press the letter R - you can now link to the objective without menus
Ashutosh Priyadarshy It would also be nice if a right-click on a task had this "Add to Weekly Objective" along with the move to bottom, calendar and delete
