Dropping a long task onto the calendar -- have it split around scheduled calendar events
Hannah Field
Use case: you have a long task to focus on during the day, but you have several meetings going on that will prevent you from working on that task in a single timeblock. As you drag that task around the calendar it should auto-split into multiple free times around the existing calendar events. E.g. a 2 hour task that you want to work on 1 hour before a specific meeting and 1 hour after a specific meeting should split into two as you drag it to a space near a meeting (rather than running through the meeting on the calendar).

Hey Hannah Field, if the conditions are right, the auto-scheduler will do this automatically: https://help.sunsama.com/docs/timeboxing-auto-scheduling#/
Manually, you can do this by timeboxing the task twice and adjusting it: https://help.sunsama.com/docs/timeboxing-how-to-timebox-a-task-to-the-calendar#/how-to-timebox-a-task-multiple-times-andor-on-multiple-days---952
But there's no way to auto-split a task if you're also manually dragging and dropping it onto the calendar.
