Part of the Sunsama philosophy is to have a plan for all daily activities and a deeper understanding of time when working on them.
For me, the focus timer needs to be upgraded because it does not tell me how many minutes I have spent on a task.
For example:
  • Schedule a one-hour task.
  • Activate the focus timer.
  • The timer provides subtle alerts at 5, 10, and 15 minutes. I think at the end, too.
  • If you have hyperfocus (ADHD), the focus mode loses its purpose because you can leave it running for 2 or 3 hours without any restriction.
For me, a ticking sound combined with a hard stop/alarm of the timer will help a lot to understand if I planned correctly or if I need to split my tasks more.
