Monthly objectives and planning
Kari Moody
please pleasepleasepleaseplease - don't care about the ritual, just care about the long term planning - what about just one set of objectives with a choice of weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually
Patricia Otero
Yes, I desperately need this. I have multiple tasks assigned to a large goal / objective. Having them on monthly basis would be just wonderful, weekly isn't enough.
Cora Lonning
To help with the bigger tasks, being able to assign different dates to the subtasks within a task would be magical!

As a Task is Added, the ability to Create a New Objective if there isn't a current objective created.

Perhaps a simple option is when you're in an objective, hit extend and it allows you to select the date or number of weeks. It's getting harder to click extend one week several times and incredibly frustrating if you hit it one time too many but can't reduce by a week, only extend.

why is this still not a thing? =(

Sunsama is my favourite planner so far. But I really would like to set longer term goals like monthly or quaterly objectives. It is the only only thing missing for me to plan my projects without using integrations. And this is really important in terms of productivity as i really dont like to open more than 1 planner.

While I would love a broader scope of yearly>quarterly>monthly planning, MVP for me would to just add the ability to select the end date of an objective. That would allow me to manage the goals I've set for myself in my other planning in the format currently available in Sunsama without hitting "extend" 52 times per objective.
Sculley, Jennifer
I would absolutely use this. I have created a workaround to add my annual goals as "weekly" objectives that have been extended 52 times, but it would work much better to prompt thinking about what I am aiming to achieve annually, how that would need to be broken down into quarters or months, then weeks, then days and have the right steps then populate on your task list automatically. I majorly struggle with awareness and planning for anything that's more than a day away so I have previously found myself looking at my annual goals for the first time in a year the week my annual review is due.

Yes this is the only important thing I think is missing in Sunsama. Even just having monthly goals as a simple list you can refer to when planning weekly/daily would be helpful.
