Monthly objectives and planning
Alayo
This and similar suggestion are exactly what I came here to suggest. I've been using this app 2 days and the lack of monthly, quarterly, and annual objectives is a major shortcoming of this otherwise incredibly functional and intuitive app. What I really like about this app is that it does exactly what I need it to do, in a thoughtful, straightforward, and intuitive manner (as opposed to trying to do so many other things that it becomes bloated with "bells and whistles" that ultimately convolute its primary functionality (this has been my experience with asana).
However, the lack of top level goal setting unduly limits its usefulness to only extremely short term productivity planning - which fo me (as a solopreneur) might end up being the difference between subscribing and looking elsewhere.

I would love this, weekly is just too granular for the way I work & plan

This would be a significant benefit to using Sunsama. Not just monthly, but also quarterly and yearly. I see this being a big help for all individuals, whether utilizing Sunsama for work or managing several aspects of life. Both businesses and individuals participate in and benefit from long term goal planning, and Sunsama's framework and mindfulness make it the perfect tool to effectively track the time planned vs spent on achieving these goals! Are there any plans to start working on these additions sometime soon? Has the Sunsama team evaluated these ideas? Thank you for the amazing work you do with this platform!

Sunsama definitely needs monthly, quarterly, and annual planning and you should be able to work backwards from your annual goals. Once you've got your annual goals defined, you can then break those down into quarterly goals. From there, monthly tasks can be defined and worked on weekly. This would be huge for Sunsama to incorporate.

Scott Spiro agree. i’ve only just begun with sunsama and found this absence notable. i have very few truly weekly goals and want to be able to set a timeframe for my objectives that mirrors real life instead of extending.

Scott Spiro 100% agree this is how it should work.

Monthly/Quartely/Yearly goals are the thing I miss the most in Sunsama. I have separate Notion pages for my goals, but as it's not in Sunsama, it requires me to open it separately during weekly review and scan the tasks to have a rough idea how much time I spent working towards the goal.

big +1 here. sunsama has been awesome at keeping track of day-to-day things when there's a lot of context switching involved, but a lot of my work has been shifting towards long-term objectives that I would love to be able to view all in one place.

I would really, really like some higher level(s) of planning as well. Sunsama is unparalleled for daily planning but I would love to be able to set goals over longer timeframes. I’d be fine with a separate view that I could just look at periodically, to remind myself what goals I’d set and to make sure there were weekly objectives and/or tasks associated with them.

I would really love that, too! Also quatquarterlyerly and yearly :)

I see requests for both quarterly and yearly objectives as well.
These would all need to flow together to allow long term planning to roll all the way back to the week and eventually the day.

Same. Would Love to have this feature
