Monthly objectives and planning
Mohammed Hayat
big +1 here. sunsama has been awesome at keeping track of day-to-day things when there's a lot of context switching involved, but a lot of my work has been shifting towards long-term objectives that I would love to be able to view all in one place.

I would really, really like some higher level(s) of planning as well. Sunsama is unparalleled for daily planning but I would love to be able to set goals over longer timeframes. I’d be fine with a separate view that I could just look at periodically, to remind myself what goals I’d set and to make sure there were weekly objectives and/or tasks associated with them.
Rafael Murr
I would really love that, too! Also quatquarterlyerly and yearly :)
Shawn Cadieux
I see requests for both quarterly and yearly objectives as well.
These would all need to flow together to allow long term planning to roll all the way back to the week and eventually the day.

Same. Would Love to have this feature
Rachel Bock
I would love this feature. I've only been using the app for a few days and it's wonderful. I miss having a way to keep a line of sight among the annual, quarterly, monthly, weekly and daily outcomes that I'm working towards. As a user that would depend on this application for all my time-budgeting needs, I would love to be able to apply the ability to chunk down objectives of all sizes. Please push this to be a priority feature. Sunsama isn't just some to do list. It's really about being able to spend my time among my highest priorities which are determined by my long-term, medium and short-term objectives or desired outcomes.

set longer term goals like monthly or quarterly objectives will be great
Ed Boutros
Nuno Pires , definitely important, especially with the cost of this application. And what I want to do is set down goals and then when I come up with task through the day, if they're related to it, I would like to add to that goal readily along with having other abilities to add to the goal, that's the way my brain works. Plus yearly goals too. The whole point of this application is to make it easy and work with the way people think not enforce inconvenient mechanisms.

Yes. And the logic is then to add in quarterly and yearly (very high level) goals/objectives (I see others have said something similar below).
Weekly objectives can be simply be aligned with monthly objectives (and if completed weekly, get ticked off automatically); and monthly ones into quarterly obejctives objectives etc. This can work top-down or bottom-up. This way you will see how small daily steps add up to big achievements.
These higher level reviews and plans should also not take too long. You aleady have the model.

Monthly objective view would be amazing.

please pleasepleasepleaseplease - don't care about the ritual, just care about the long term planning - what about just one set of objectives with a choice of weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually
