It would be great to have natural language parsing like Todoist when entering a new task...e.g. typing "Haircut next Sat" will automatically add the task to next Saturday...rather than adding it to today, then manually moving it.

This is now possible during task creation! You use the keyboard shortcut "@" while creating a task to specify a start date other than today using natural language (e.g. "Do this @tomorrow").

Add shortcuts for category tagging (#…)
Implement simple NLP like in Todoist to schedule task for today that last 2hours: "Work on x today for 2hours"

Interesting that this actually isn't there yet. But good that it's a thing on mobile.

To add to the mobile functionality, I accidentally typed 25th september without wanting to add the task to that date. Maybe there can be some first time use warning to show what will happen if you type a NLP trigger. :)

Bump this. I think this would be great (Todoist does have a similar feature). Ideally it would even include planning (call John, 15 minutes, #channel) so it's easier to create fully labeled tasks

Anant M: This might be something we can look into tackling when we also add keyboard shortcuts/command bar for easily adding tasks.
