I use daily shutdown daily. In my case I would need to see what tasks / events I have in next day to establish / wrote down what is "most important tommorow" in highlight. I write 3 things that matter the most. Example as in screenshot.

To establish the 3 most important things I would need somethins as "projection" of the next day. For example list of task I have for tomorrow in short list without planning. Just to get an idea of what tasks are on the list, so I can find out what I’ve already done, what I’ve forgotten, and what I might have missed.

It may be as much minimalistic as may be, just take a look.
