Superlist and Akiflow are having a great tray menu in the menu bar. Something like this would be great for having in Sunsama for me

Excited to see this coming into the app! Must have feature.

It will be important to give users options (as mentioned in other comments here) re whether they want a sound, whether they want a visual prompt (e.g. in the top menu bar), or both. Personally, I think an option to trigger the alarm before the end of the planned time would be great too -- e.g. 5 or 10 mins before "time's up", either in addition to or instead of just the final "time's up" notification.
Another idea here is to just gradually change the colour of the Actual vs Planned icon from green, to yellow, to orange, to red, to flashing red as the time planned time progresses and finishes/passes.
Then... it would be great to be able to click that Actual vs Planned icon (make it a button) and select an 'Extend 5 mins / Extend 10 mins / Extend 15 mins' option that with a couple of clicks with then reschedule the subsequent tasks for that day.

Personally, I keep my notifications mostly off on "Do not Disturb" so a notification wouldn't be best for me.
On my mac, I'm using an app called Effortless that just puts the timer in my top menu bar.
I'd love for Sunsama to be the menubar thing instead so that it's synced directly with the timer in the app

Like this - also wish meetings weren't automatically marked as complete when the time is reached - what if it goes over? Would like to mark it complete and add in actual time just like any other task.

Ferreira, Carolyn: I 100% agree!

I agree! We have a stopwatch -- a countdown timer (or "count-up“ timer) would improve my productivity on time-bound tasks.

Llama Life integrates with Todoist and has a lot of the features suggested here.
Would be excellent to see them inside of Sunsama.

Travis Meyer: Omg, thank you, I'm so so so stoked! My ADHD brain is totally going to benefit from this!

Oh man, this would be HUGE for folks like me with ADHD. I need something to pop up and say "Yo, you're timer's running out! You've got 5 minutes left!"
Skyler Reeves
Kacey Shoemake: Same. Every day I keep working on a task or 17 other tasks and forget to check Sunsama. If it can hold my hand planning my day, I’d love if it would hold my hand as I actually go about it. 😅

Kacey Shoemake: Yes, me too. A timer gamifies the day for me. Allows a series of little wins along the way each day. Helps focus enormously.
