option to disable the completion green checkmarks

This should absolutely default to hidden (or be removed from the product altogether). A slew of checkmarks scattered across your day with no visual connection to the tasks they represent has zero usefulness — it's just noise.

Awesome, thanks for adding this option :)

This is now an option! You can disable the showing of the green completion checkmarks that appear on the calendar by going to your Settings and disabling the "Task completion calendar visualization" setting.

Yes! They add clutter and usually misrepresent reality (unless you mark tasks complete immediately every single time). The check marks also make it look like whatever task they overlap has been completed, which is usually not the case for me. Instead, the design of the task block could change slightly to indicate completeness (e.g., shading or dashed vs. solid outline for unfinished vs finished tasks...or vice versa). I love that feature in other software. Thanks!

This is even more distracting when I use subtask.

Add an option to remove the green checkmark of completed tasks from the calendar.
The time a task was completed in the past seems irrelevant information and creates noise. The visual checkmarks are distracting from the workflow when looking at the calendar.
It is hard for me to think of a workflow when you need to see the calendar checkmark every time a task is completed. I think there should be a way to disable it.
