Pause timer when closing laptop, quitting app, or shutting down computer
William Murphy
A few times this week, I've been interrupted and closed my laptop in the middle of a task, and come back a few hours later to find the timer still running. I'd like there to be a setting, or maybe a default behavior, where the timer only runs when my laptop is unlocked and awake, at least for some tasks.

For what it's worth, I get my needs met for this nowadays, with my usage of Toggl Track, Sunsama's very sweet and smooth integration with them, and the ancillary Timery app.
Toggl Track's desktop app has the idle time detection feature.
Timery app offers much nicer UX for "Split time entry" and updating to prior or next start/stop times.
My workflow will either be to:
- Update Toggl Track time entries outside of Sunsama (idle, split time, breaks, etc)
- Reference that total time, then if necessary, update/move around any Sunsama "actual" time entries to match.
- Sunsama will sometimes create a new entry, to match that new time. I go delete that duplicate entry in Toggl Track/Timery.
I've been a long-time Toggl Track + Timery user for years, and since I began seriously using Sunsama again the last two months, I can confirm this workflow has been extremely intuitive and smooth for me.

This would be great!

Bojan Crevar Agreed. I've used Tyme for years to track time. It does a great job of this -- I totally rely on it. It has a nice +10min, -10min toggle, too, for when you come back.
