Set different workload threshold per context/channel/calendar
Patrick McDermott
I am in need of this feature as well! I am a consultant currently contracting with several clients, each with their own caps on my billable hours. I have a work context with channels for each of the clients and my workaround for not having this feature is manually scheduling time on select days during the week to match my billable hours so I don't over commit myself during the daily planning ritual. However, my schedule is flexible (which I like) and so I would much rather have a more granular option for the workload threshold per day and per context/channel. So for instance, I could say I only work for a particular client on certain days and only for a certain # of hours, but it's flexible within the day of when those tasks are scheduled so I can effectively utilize task projections (which I love) to see how my day is laid out when I am planning it, but allow myself the flexibility I need to adjust on the fly. And this way I can avoid the manual scheduling on a specific time block during my day.

Yes, this. Also extending this so that at the end of the day the summary view could show "Here is where you spent your time at work" vs "Here is where you spent your time outside of work".

I'd love to be able to do this as well, by day. So M-F my #work threshold might be 8, and my #personal threshold might be 2, but on Sunday my #work would be zero, and my #personal would 5 (something greater than during the week).

I effectively work 3 jobs. One with regular hours, and two that I do from home as a contractor. I would like to be able to set the workload threshold for the office job separately from the threshold for the contracting jobs for the days I'm in the office. Alternately, it would be great to be able to set the hours / days that different channels are considered to be work tasks. With that, the method described by @Les Sierra would do much the same thing.
