Subtask Progress Indicator
Todd Kasenberg
I am not a "get it all done at once" guy, but like to know I've made progress. It would be amazing to have a completion indicator that lets me add task completion percent to each task. So, for example, if I got 10% done today, I could show on an indicator (maybe a slider) 10%, and tomorrow move that along to 30%, etc.

The card view would really benefit from this!

Default to 1-5 "chunks" for big tasks (default adjustability in settings) so click the "big task" radio button and instantly its a 3 part task. (if 3 is default). just an easy way to break down big projects fast).

A related (and maybe easier to implement?) idea is to have a visual indicator on a card that shows the number of completed subtasks. Trello displays the actual number of completed/total subtasks (for example "3/15") so that's one idea; another idea is a subtle horizontal bar indicating the approximate percent complete.

Thanks for the thoughtful input Todd Kasenberg. While we do not have something like that right now you can get a rough idea of progress being made using subtasks. When you are making progress we will leave the completed subtasks on the day they were completed and we will give you a breakdown of how much time you spent on the task each day. Hope this helps bridge the gap.
