support automation for status properties in Notion
complete

Notion has implemented a new status property (basically a categorized single select with default values for each category). It would be great to have integration support a la the current "update notion <tags/date/select>" automation to change the status of a database item when it is added to sunsama.
Even better would be to have different status changes based on where in the item is added to Sunsama
e.g.
added to today -> change status to "in progress"
added to backlog -> change status to "hold" / "someday"

We've just built support automating Notion's status property automation in Sunsama. You can now update the status property of a Notion task upon import and completing the task in Sunsama.
Filtering by your different statues in the integration is also now more stable and robust, and does not require the "fix options" workaround anymore.

This is a must have to make the integration more useful

Cannot upvote this more! This feels like a missing major point because it duplicates work and create digital overhead. Currently, I have to maintain status in both Sunsama and Notion. That's super annoying.

Hi everyone! We do want to fully support the Status property in our Notion integration. However, due to limitations with Notion's API, we're unable to actually see the Status field and thus are unable to automate it.
If and when Notion updates their API to allow this, we will hope to do so!
If you're able to, we recommend switching to the "select" property in your Notion database, which Sunsama fully supports.

This is a pretty important feature for me personally. IMO, the 80/20 is specifying how completion should be handled. When something's completed in Sunsama, the last thing I want to do is go into Notion to update that it's completed.

This feature is absolutely essential. At least, the automation to mark tasks done in Notion has to be implemented. Other use cases are also valid, but less time sensitive

Much needed!
