Timer logs start and stop times

I would love it if starting/stopping a task was logged to where it showed you the exact time (i.e. I started this task at 10:08 and finished it at 11:27). It's important to me as a remote employee to keep myself from working over 8 hours per day, but sometimes I forget to start/stop a task and want to go back to edit it, but since I can't see actual start/stop times, if it's a task I've worked on multiple times throughout the day because of unforeseeable interruptions, I cannot figure out if I missed tracking one of its occurrences.

This would be a great feature for those of us who bill our time. I find that the daily shutdown usually gives me what I need but sometimes I feel like I'm missing time somewhere.

Yes please! At the simplest, just log timer start / stops to a calendar that we can go back to check. On a related note, being able to retroactively start a timer by choosing either how much time you've worked OR the time you started working would also be really useful

It would be incredibly useful to be able to compare my plan with what actually happened so that I can be aware of discrepancies, what takes me off task, how often it happens, etc. I often set my plan for the day, but then may run the timer on a task that is not what is timeblocked/on my calendar at that moment. Since I am not actually working on the thing that is timeblocked it would be amazing to have a calendar view display the task once I start the timer and extend the time block until I stop it (maybe a separate calendar could retain the planned version of my day to help compare and contrast).
