Timer's subtask dependency
Elaina Truhart
I like having the subtasks option to give myself "small wins" within a task, but I'm not always working one one specific piece. It'd be great to be able to run the timer for the overall task without having to choose one subtask that that time goes into. Basically I don't like that hitting the start button for the overall task defaults to starting the timer for the first subtask.

Hey Elaina Truhart, one way around this, if applicable, is to have no planned times on your subtasks. If your subtasks don't have planned times, you can run the timer on the parent task without running it on subtasks.

Alex Cunningham Hi Alex, thanks for the tip, however I don't have any planned times on the subtasks, this seems to happen anytime I have added subtasks at all

Elaina Truhart Hm, if your subtasks have no planned time and you start the timer on the parent task, it should not run on the subtasks. Can you share a screenshot with us in support the next time this happens?
