Hi all, thank you for your patience on this one, and for all the detail in your comments over the years, it genuinely helped shape what we built.
We've built a generic CalDAV connector (point Sunsama at any CalDAV server with a URL, username, and app password, the same way our existing iCloud integration works, just not locked to Apple's servers) and we're ready to start letting people try it.
This is a very early beta, not a public toggle yet. If you'd like access, email support@sunsama.com or use the support bubble in the app and we'll get you set up.
Because it's early, please report anything that looks off, however small, back to support@sunsama.com or the support bubble. Bug reports are exactly what we need right now to get this solid enough for a wider release.

6 years and this still isn't setup? I regularly think I'd really appreciate using Sunsama, but repeatedly avoid it because I don't use Google/Apple/Microsoft calendars. I specifically and trying to move away from Big Tech; I use FastMail and they use CalDav.

Adding my voice to this. Adding CalDav support would allow me to return to using Sunsama, as it is the only way I can connect my work calendar to third party apps.
I work for a large public institution in Europe and we do use Outlook calendar, but due to privacy policies, I cannot connect my calendar to third party apps using the regular Outlook sync method.
Right now, I'm shopping around for alternatives and have maybe landed on Morgen solely because it offers CalDav integration. However, the quality of user experience and feature richness is just not up to what Sunsama offers, so I would love to return if this was implemented.

Not everybody uses the big American corporations like Google, Microsoft and Apple and their proprietary calendar protocols. Some of us use smaller, independent providers that support open standards like CalDAV. It'd be nice if Sunsama did, too.

CalDav support for selfself-hosted calendars of my company would be absolutely essential for me in order to use Sunsama.

Support for the CalDAV open standard would make Sunsama compatible with a much broader array of providers. (for me I need it for my Fastmail personal calendar or it's a blocker to me using Sunsama for work!)
