Focus bar Live Activities / show timer and focus mode on lock screen
Michael Crinnion
I was super confused and disappointed to see that the focus work timer isn't included in the Android app and would love to hear the rationale behind why this isn't prioritised. Just started using Sunsama and the thing that struck me about it is how well it integrates me working on various areas of my life in a fluid way. Why would I not want to be able to time my tasks, start and stop them from my phone?

So cool if this was available. Would be really really helpful….

Lock Screen Focus Widget

i constantly forget that im timing myself on a task. and with the new "actual time" feature it seems like the devs are pushing for us to use that feature more. i would like to see a lock screen widget that shows that im currently in focus mode on a given task right on my lock screen so when im about to get distracted by tiktok i remember what im supposed to be doing. something simple like the widget for doordash would be so nice. just a title, the current time spent, maybe a progress bar that changes color when youre going over time.

I too would like this. I like the focus mode on the desktop app, but I don't like cluttering my desktop screen. When I'm working, my phone is set up on a charger mount facing me. I would love for it to just show me my focus (and be able to pause and start) so I can... focus on my desktop app on the actual task.

We totally need this feature because it is a modern and useful approach for a task management app that tracks time!

My use case for this: I am not allowed to download any software including Sunsama on my work computer, so I have to use the web version. I find when I'm deep in focus mode that I forget to go back to the Sunsama tab to see how much planned time I have left on the task. If the mobile app had Live Activities, I could see my progress at a glance on the Lock Screen without having to switch tabs/lose focus.

Focus mode on desktop is a gem, one of the killer feature of Sunsama. Importing it in the mobile app should be a priority. And I also think that Live Activties could be the way.

Paul Maad live activities for the timers on mobile—with, and it should go without saying but for some reason doesn’t, notifications when you reach the estimated time like you get on desktop—is the only feature that has kept me from just totally switching to Sunsama as my final solution for a planner app. Nothing else even really comes close but the lack of mobile functionality is a complete dealbreaker as I do continue to live life after I leave my desk.

I have used the Live Activities feature in this way with the time tracking app Toggl and I love it. It helps me stay on track and avoid my phone and also helps when my work takes me on the go, which is often. It's also a good reminder if I accidentally leave a time running. I think it would be a great addition.

I'd love this!

Add Pomodoro to mobile and add ''live activity'' functionality
Beadier Unitary
I'm aware the mobile app is just a companion app. But since I'm using Sunsama to also perform tasks that can only be done away from the desktop computer (like household tasks or creative activities) I would love to see Pomodoro integration in the mobile app with ''live activity'' (+ dynamic island if easy to implement, but is secondary) functionality on the IOS app.
Seeing the large amount of Pomodoro technique apps in the app store, I think this will make Sunsama a very attractive option, as it will be the first to fully integrate Pomodoro technique with a fully fledged planner application on both mobile and desktop.
Thank you! :)
