Changing the status from "planned" to "open" as we are no longer using the "planned" status to better manage expectations.
This remains something we are committed to building, we're just not sure exactly when.
Once we start actively working on this we will update the status to "In progress".

Please let us send the journaling to obsidian. I do my main journaling there. Do not become a journaling app. There is an app already in place for that: Obsidian.

Another VERY simple idea:
Add "Send as Email" to daily flow, similar to current "post to slack"... but using email.
Boom. Main function done.

I keep wanting my "daily planning flow" notes to be collected / exported somewhere. I suppose I could do it manually w/ clipboard... there are so many potential notes or journaling apps to integrate with, probably hundreds of them, it seems difficult to choose which to focus on.... Personally I use Obsidian at the moment.
IMHO Minimum-viable would be:
- Export as data (perhaps raw text, markdown, and something more structured and developer-extensible like json & CSV or such?)
fwiw, as a model, Readwise Reader has an amazing export integration scheme.

+Day One is a wonderful tool; however, specific integrations are tricky to maintain. As mentioned below, having the ability to send as an email or export to rtf would allow us to import into whatever tool we prefer at the time. Thank you!

It would be good to add a daily journal or be able to integrate a journal app like Day One

For me, at the very least I'd like to be able to download all my Shutdowns to keep as a journal. I'm not picky about what format, but something to be able to look through it again and see changes over time in how I'm feeling about things and such.

This would be the perfect place to integrate with Obsidian!! Obsidian has a daily note feature.
Same for weekly/daily reviews. There is currently no way to keep these, so writing them is functionally useless.

Louis Isaac: would love this! I use Obisidan often and hadn't even considered this use case but that's unreal. Thank you!

Since Sunsama already has an integration with Notion it would be great it if the daily and weekly recaps could be published to notion

I'd really like for the day's journal to be published to open external formats.
Compiling and publishing at midnight would be perfect
: the day is done, so the record of the day is done. Also: consider publishing via integrations, including as open standard RSS
. (aka choosing an open standard that other systems can subscribe to.) Another wide-open standard would to send a Daily Journal via Email.

Jeremiah Moore: Rss sounds great to integrate with Readwise and the Obsidan.
