Floating/Omnipresent Focus Mode Toolbar
complete

Can we have the timer and controls in the menu bar on mac? The floating box is kind of distracting and takes up screen space.
Monica McCafferty
Same - I use a full split screen to do all of my tasks. I would like to see the focus bar floating in the foreground. Otherwise the visual of that timer is hidden when I am actually working on a task. think, little zoom screen while on a call but in fullscreen with another application.

I am a Mac user. If I maximize another application, like Chrome or Slack, I'm unable to get the focus bar to show over that window. It would be nice for it to always be visible.

I love the floating task bar, but when I want to move it around it 'sticks' to the cursor and I find it difficult to place in a different location. I end up having to press pause in order for it to let go!

Merran Bowe: Hey Merran, can you chat with us in support about this?
Merran Bowe
Alex Cunningham Hello, yes. I can share a screen recording if you wish.
Alex Cunningham
Merran Bowe Thanks Merran, that would be helpful. Can you email it to support@sunsama.com ?
John Michael Thomas
Alex Cunningham Hi, I am also having this issue. When will it be fixed? Also, is there a way to have the timer in the menu bar so it doesn’t take up space on my screen?
Alex Cunningham
John Michael Thomas Hey John, we're still not aware of any bug here, could you chat with us in support and grab a screen recording if possible?
And at the moment, there's no way to have the timer in the menu bar, just the focus bar.
John Michael Thomas
Alex Cunningham Hi, yes I was able to grab a screen recording and can email it to support.
Travis Meyer
John Michael Thomas this should be fixed in our next release.

This is a great feature I just need it to be more obvious on the page. A different colour perhaps. It gets hidden when using software with a white page

That looks awesome!

There is now a floating "Focus Bar" that will appear when you enter focus mode or start a timer on a task.
This should make it much easier to maintain your focus and keep track of your timer while you go about your day.
In order to use the focus bar, you must have the desktop app running in the background.
To learn more, check out the help center article (which has a video walkthrough): https://help.sunsama.com/docs/focus-bar
Worth noting: while the focus bar completes this feature request, we know a lot of folks are still interested in a menubar for a more minimal solution. We will leave that request open with the hopes of adding that option as well someday. That feature is being tracked here: https://roadmap.sunsama.com/improvements/p/menu-bar-app

Timer widget always on top
Olli Tiainen
When in focus mode, I can't always stay on Sunsama, but need to use other apps.
In these situations, I'd like to have a timer widget that I could move around the desktop and that would be always on top. The timer could have a short description of the task I'm working on as well.

Yes! This!!

It should look like Raycast's floating notes, rather than be in the menu bar
