Persistent repeating Weekly Objectives
Kevin Kirkpatrick
As a user, I'd like to see my weekly/monthly/yearly objectives displayed in a more prominent and persistent way, to keep me focused.
Objectives are great for planning and organizing, but they often get lost in the right panel, as I'm mostly looking at the calendar view instead of objectives. I'd love a top panel (or something) that I could drag and drop my tasks into without switching my right or left panel views.

Set goals to recur each week

There are goals I have that I want to repeat every week, and it would be awesome to not have to re-enter them every time I plan my week

Permanent objectives

I use sunsama to plan not only my day to day job, but also all the chores I've got to do; most of them are recurrent and listed as objectives for easier planning. I don't like to "extend them one week" every week and would like to have an option to state that are permanent

Hey Alex, should this feature request be merged with 'Objectives to be more visible'? https://roadmap.sunsama.com/improvements/p/objectives-to-be-more-visible

Michael Carter: Good question. This thread seems to be requesting two things at once: the request to make weekly objectives more visible, but also the idea of persistent (repeating) objectives. I'll change the name of this thread to reflect the latter.

I frequently have long term objectives that I want to work towards and will be working towards for much longer than a week. It would be wonderful to be able to use that to organize tasks and make the big projects less overwhelming. Perhaps an objective that will be running for a few months, to which I will periodically add new tasks. Being able to track whether I'm continuing to make some progress each week on those objectives would definitely be nice, but having to extend objectives by a week - Every week - Just feels like I failed at reaching the objective, even if it wasn't a realistic goal! Being required to "extend" the objective feels like I shouldn't put anything there that I can't realistically do in a week.
