We've officially released our iPad app. You should already notice this if you have the app installed on your iPad. If not, just download the app from the app store.
The new app provides a fully-featured experience of Sunsama that matches what you get on Sunsama's web and desktop apps. You can drag and drop, see your integrations, and toggle different views.
If you run into any issues, please reach out to use in support.

Any news on when there will be an iPad app? When is this planned for? Even if you give a rough idea…

I also need an iPad app... Please!

Is there any update on this Ashutosh Priyadarshy? The web app really doesn’t work well on the iPad. Dragging and dropping tasks doesn’t work so we can’t plan our days. Both myself and my business partner use our iPads for planning work and not having the full version of Sunsama on the iPad is becoming a hindrance.

Giles Butler: One quick way to timebox on iPad is to hover over the task and hit "X" or use the "..." menu and timebox the task.
Once it's on the calendar, you can adjust it's start time or duration via drag and drop.
Giles Butler
Ashutosh Priyadarshy: thanks for the quick reply. That helped but I can't figure out how to set the planned duration for a task on iPad after using the X shortcut.
Is there any update on when an iPad app will be released?
Alex Cunningham
Giles Butler: Hey Giles,
After a task has been timeboxed to the calendar, you can only adjust its planned time by adjusting it on the calendar directly. To do that:
- click on the event in the calendar.
- click the little "edit" button next to the calendar event information
- edit the start/end times of the task.
If all you're trying to do is adjust the planned time of the task, I'd recommend setting the planned time for the task first, before timeboxing. That way the resulting working session on the calendar will have the same duration as the planned time.
Hope this helps. If you have further questions, feel free tro drop a message in the support chat bubble in Sunsama.

The biggest detractor for me is that even the web app doesn't work well on iPad. I cannot schedule my tasks on the iPad because it's not able to drag tasks onto the calenda in Safari. This is a massive problem because I would like to plan my day
before
I head into my office and start work on my desktop. Until a native app is built, fixing the web app should be prioritized over other bells and whistles since the program is missing a core function in mobile.

Guys, AI is taking over the world, people are planning to go to Mars and we don't have an iPad app in plan. For this price. Sorry, but it doesn't sound too serious to me.

Thanks for the update. Until such a time as an iPAD app is a thing, myself and my team will struggle bus away without Sunsama. Which sucks. Look forward to finally seeing an app and seeing what other neat stuff you've done in the mean time.

The update here is that currently there is other functionality that we'd like to get in before we start on the iPad app. I understand that this is something a lot of you want but it requires us to overhaul a large part of the layout and rethink a lot of the functionality hence that we haven't picked this up.
Once we got all of the rituals sorted, the widgets etc all in a better state I promise you to take a further good look at this but I can also tell you that this won't be soon.

Boy Callaars: The web version works pretty well already. I know they aren't the same thing but I imagine the UX shouldn't need an overhaul in my opinion.
Although I see the iPad app as landscape only as well.

Taiko Taiko: I meant overhauling the mobile UX as the web app can't be directly translated to an iPad app. We'd have to build the UI from scratch again.
