Improvements

I like having the subtasks option to give myself "small wins" within a task, but I'm not always working one one specific piece. It'd be great to be able to run the timer for the overall task without having to choose one subtask that that time goes into. Basically I don't like that hitting the start button for the overall task defaults to starting the timer for the first subtask.

This idea was inspired by a tool I saw. It forces you to input an intention before you can use your computer. literally locking the device until you decide what your session is for. Kinda like it. Here is a quick walkthrough of how it works: https://youtu.be/u-NMyDVrcOg . So I'd love to see a 'Performance Mode' in Sunsama with similar mechanics. Concept: You open your laptop → Sunsama launches automatically, fullscreen You’re asked: “What’s your focus?” You can’t proceed to the desktop or any apps until you choose focus Important here: Prevent skipping/closing without input. You need to select a Focus. Why this matters: Adds a conscious barrier between stimulus (open laptop) and reaction (scroll/email/YouTube) Sets immediate clarity and purpose for deep work Pairs beautifully with Sunsama’s intention-first philosophy and help users develop even stronger focus habits Optional & opt-in, of course. But for power users, it could be a serious upgrade in mental performance.

As an agency, we use a number of time tracking tools to ensure our billable vs non-billable hours are tracked. I would love to see if there's an integration with Harvest: https://www.getharvest.com/ The integration is super easy, where for easier implementations, Harvest has an iframe API option as well: https://platform.harvestapp.com/platform/timer?service=chrome.google.com

Hi Sunsama team, I have tried to drag the focus bar over the win11 taskbar, but it can't be positioned over the taskbar. Could this be changed, or could the focus bar have the option of being integrated into the win11 taskbar? My win11 taskbar is basically dead screen space, it would be nice to have the focus bar take up that dead space rather than app window space. Thanks, Steve

I would love it if there was an option to change the colour of the focus bar - I have all my apps in dark mode (including Sunsama) and I don't wanna change that, because it's easiest on my eyes, but unfortunately that does mean that the focus bar generally blends into the background of whatever programme i'm currently in. Therefore when I get distracted, it's not very effective in reminding me that I'm actually working on something because I will simply not notice it until I remember I was meant to be working on something and actively look for it. I would love to make it a bright colour, but even just switching it to white or light grey would help a lot.

Would love something similar to https://freedom.to/ in sunsama My worst habit right now is checking slack while in deep work, having a blocker in sunsama during focus mode to block out all distractions (a list of apps, sites, & potentially notifications) would help so much.

I’d love it if you could include a ticking clock sound when I hit play on a task. There is something about that sound which is like a Pavlovian trigger to work for me. Presently, I have to use another app to do it. It would be awesome if it would happen automatically in Sunsama.

I'd like it to be able to tally up the pomodoro sessions done for a task during the day to compare how many pomodoros I did that day

It is extremely irritating that uncompleted tasks and completed tasks do not disappear from the calendar if they have been completed in the future. This means that you no longer have an overview of which tasks still need to be completed. A checkbox in the calendar card could help here

Have the app extend to Apple Watch and show your tasks in focus mode for the day or your agenda.
